On colorasm website you buy a digital colour identified by hexadecimal code. The acquired colour becomes yours and remains yours forever, unless you decide to sell it away. Your ownership of the colour is absolute and extends beyond the frame of colorasm website.
You are the colour's only certified owner - no matter how many times the colour had been used by other parties prior to your purchase. They were using YOUR colour, without realising this fact; you are the only person eligible to claim the ownership on your colour and the only one who can resell it.

In either case you have to specify the name of the owner: your name or that of the gift recipient. Please note - the name you specify on this page appears on the certificate of ownership. The only way to change it at later time would be to re-sell the colour.
Upon the purchase of the colour, on your first login into the colorasm system (only at this point) you are given an option to present the colour as a gift to somebody else. You are prompted to enter the name and the email address of the colour-gift recipient and, optionally, to attach a personal message. This way the sole ownership of the colour is assigned to the gift recipient but not to the buyer (you).
There are several ways in which you can advertise your ownership of a colour. You can advertise your name on the colorasm website, you can put a personalised colour banner on your own website. You may print out the colour certificate, frame it and hang it in your room. You may of course do it any other way you like.
Every colorasm colour owner has a personal colorasm web account, with an access to preferences for each colour possessed. One of the customisable options is "advertise my name" check-box.
By enabling this option you choose to advertise your name on the colorasm website. It appears next to your colour on the "browse sold colours" and on the "private colour" pages. If you prefer to hide your name and leave the check-box unchecked, label "classified" appears on the mentioned pages.

You can write whatever you want here, either related or not to the specific colour or to colorasm website. Basically you can put here your thoughts on any topic. The entered text appears on the private colour page (xxxxxx.colorasm.com) together with the other colour information.
If you have a website, which you would like to advertise on the private colour's page (xxxxxx.colorasm.com) you can put its URL into the respective field appearing among other colour preferences within your colorasm web account.
The colorasm colour certificate is a document certifying your ownership of a certain colorasm colour. A print-ready PNG of the personal certificate can be downloaded from your colour account on colorasm website.
Within your colorasm colour account there is a special page with web-banners made to advertise your ownership of the colour and/or your intentions to sell it. You can download any banner and use it on your personal website or anywhere else you find appropriate. Of course, you can choose to design your own banners, advertise your ownership in some other way or not to do anything like this at all.
After you establish the ownership for a certain colour (buy it) you may choose to sell it. You can do it at any time. One of the preferences of your personal colorasm account is a special option "Put this colour on sale" followed by the price field.
By enabling this option and specifying the price in € you are putting your colour on sale on the colorasm website. You can set any price you want (hence, the colour is yours) starting from €3.
When colour is bought the money gets immediately sent to your PayPal account. Regardless of the amount of the transaction, colorasm charges filing fee of exactly €1, which is deducted from the sum transferred to you.
